Bald Heads Burn

Had a great time sailing this weekend in the Fresian (sp?) lakes. In a change from US watersports, they still love sailing over there - the whole lake was full of boats. The nice part about boating here is that all the lakes are connected from their canal system. So, you can make short trips staying in different towns at night.

The boats in the pictures are traditional Dutch sailboats - the keels are actually large flippers on each side of the boat that they can raise. These huge lakes are only around 6 feet deep!
