A word on Switzerland

Just wanted to take a step back to our ski vacation in Switzerland. One thing I've found in northern Europe is that a lot of the towns start to blend together. Brussels, Copenhagen....they all start looking the same. Places that have made me say "This is something I'm really glad to have seen in my life" have been Paris, Amsterdam and now Switzerland.

The mountains are absolutely breathtaking, and I don't use the term lightly. Taking a train up a tunnel inside the alps.... and then you get out and you're on top of the world. I've been on top of a few Colorado ski slops and it still was unreal.

Oh, and the Swiss aren't real big on safety. One of the fun little things is that you'll be on the easiest slope(blue) and there will be a little sign and a rope - notifying you that if you go a foot too far to the left you end up at the bottom of the mountain in a little lump. I was scared for most the time! So....alps not good for skiers scared of heights.
